Purpose: The Council currently holds a contract with Formara Ltd for the provision of design and print services. The original contract includes an option to extend for a further period, subject to satisfactory performance and ongoing need. The substantive contract extension has been on the Forward Plan and the report was published on 27 May with the decision being able to be implemented on 3rd June.  The existing contract is due to expire on 31st May and an urgent decision to extend is therefore needed to provide continuity of service between 31st May and 3rd June.  

Content: The Council currently holds a contract with Formara Ltd for the provision of design and print services. The original contract includes an option to extend for a further period, subject to satisfactory performance and ongoing need. The substantive contract extension has been on the Forward Plan and the report was published on 27 May with the decision being able to be implemented on 3rd June.  The existing contract is due to expire on 31st May and an urgent decision to extend is therefore needed to provide continuity of service between 31st May and 3rd June.   That the extension of the contract for the provision of Design & Print Services for a period of 3 days commencing on 1st June 2026 with the incumbent provider in accordance with the agreed terms be approved. As set out in the submitted report. Option 1 – allowing the current contract to lapse. This would mean we would be without a dedicated print and design supplier.   Option 2 - Undertaking a full procurement exercise for a replacement provider. This is cost and resource intense and would result in a period without a supplier, so would risk continuity of service.
