Purpose:

Content: Resolved that   (a)       the report of the Monitoring Officer about irregularities in two Traffic Regulation Orders for Off-Street Parking since 2019 be noted;   (b)       it be noted that the Strategic Director will use her delegated powers from Council (February 2026) (minute 39/25) to introduce the revised Draft Parking Order 2026, advertise the Notice of Proposal, launch the statutory consultation process, decide on representations and objections to the draft Order, agree the final Order and publish the Notice of Making;   (c)        it be noted that significant matters of public interest which arise during the consultation will be referred to the Portfolio Holder for Enterprise, Parking & Local Economy and may be referred back to Cabinet if considered necessary;   (d)       it be noted that the revised draft Order will address both the historical errors in making two Traffic Regulation Orders since 2019 and introduce the measures agreed by Council in the 2026/2027 Budget.
