Purpose:

Content: Councillor Juned – Leader of the Council   Consideration was given to the latest version of the Council’s Strategic Risk Register, which would aid effective governance within the Council. The Strategic Risk Register recorded all significant risks to the Council’s operations, key priorities and major projects. Individual services also had service Risk Registers, which were included within the individual Service Plans for 2026/27.   In receiving the report, it was noted that Carbon Literacy training had been implemented and was ongoing for Council staff and was also available to Councillors.   The options available to The Cabinet were to endorse the Strategic Risk Register and agree to the mitigating actions, to endorse the Strategic Risk Register and agree alternative mitigating actions, or to reject the Strategic Risk Register.   Accordingly, it was   RESOLVED:   That the Strategic Risk Register, attached at Appendix 1 to the agenda report, be endorsed.   Note: This item is not subject to call-in to the OSC as it is not a key decision
