Content: Councillors discussed the item in detail, including consideration of the financial aspects of the contract. Following their discussions, and having received advice and clarification from officers, they were satisfied that the proposed financial implications were appropriate and represented good value, and therefore agreed to proceed with the recommendation.   RESOLVED: (Unanimously)   To approve the extension of the Public Convenience Cleaning Contract with Wetton Cleaning Services Ltd for a period of up to two years from 1 April 2027, in accordance with the contract terms, having regard to the financial implications set out in this Part 2 report.   Reasons for Recommendations:   The current contract includes an option to extend for up to a further two years. Wetton Cleaning Services Ltd has confirmed its willingness to take up this extension. Wetton Cleaning Services Ltd have continued to achieve the required standard of cleansing as outlined in the contract specification. Extending the contract will ensure continuity of service beyond Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and avoid the immediate time and cost burden of a new procurement exercise.   The financial implications of the extension, including inflationary and statutory cost pressures, are commercially sensitive and are therefore included within this exempt Part 2 report.
