Purpose: To agree the phased approach to demolition.

Content: To agree the phased approach to demolition. That Cabinet:   1)         Approve the proposed strategy to demolish Fanum House to support redevelopment of this prime site on Basing View.   2)         Delegate authority to the Director of Regeneration in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer (Section 151 officer) to submit a prior approval notice for demolition, approve the scope of works, final costs and procurement of a contractor for the demolition of Fanum House.   3)         Recommends to Council to note that the funding requirements for this new project will be included in the MFTS Update and Capital Programme Outturn and updated to Council in July 2026.
