Purpose:

Content: RESOLVED that   1.       the recommended approach to the development of the Corporate Strategy, as set out in the report, be agreed and that Option 1 be supported as it established an early, agreed strategic framework to inform budget setting and service planning during the shadow period and post Vesting Day.  Option 1 also provided a proportionate and deliverable approach, while retaining flexibility to develop a more comprehensive, engagement-led strategy post Vesting Day;   2.       the progress made to date in developing the evidence base and preparatory work to support the development of the Corporate Strategy for East Surrey Council be noted; and   3.       the emerging themes identified through the development of the evidence base, which would inform the development of the Corporate Strategy and the shaping of the Council’s vision, priorities, outcomes and values, be noted.
