Purpose:

Content: RESOLVED that   1.       the General Consent to Surrey’s District and Borough Councils (excluding Spelthorne Borough Council and Woking Borough Council) and Surrey County Council under the Direction made under Section 24 of the Local Government Public Involvement in Health Act 2027, as set out in Annex 2 of the report (as amended at the meeting), be approved;   2.       the provision for the sale of buildings in the Section 24 Direction of selling land if the consideration for the disposal exceeds £100,000 be included;   3.       authority be delegated to the Leader, in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer, to grant consent in respect of any transaction where the decision is urgent and any delay incurred in taking the decision would seriously prejudice the relevant Council’s, the Shadow Authority’s or the public interest to the extent that it would be appropriate to take the decision before the next meeting of the Shadow Executive and that the Interim Monitoring Officer update the Scheme of Delegation to this effect; and   4.       the Interim Monitoring Officer update the East Shadow Authority Constitution to include the General Consent.
