Purpose: To approve appointments to Outside Bodies.

Content: To approve appointments to Outside Bodies. Resolved:   1.    That the appointments to outside bodies, as set out within Appendix 1, be approved; and   2.    That such appointments shall remain in place until such time as the Leader determines to make alternative appointments or where the appointed Member ceases to be a Member of the authority. ·         Appointments to outside bodies connected with functions that are the responsibility of the executive can be determined by the Cabinet. ·         Approving a clear and current list of appointments ensures transparency and effective representation on external organisations. ·         Confirming the basis on which appointments continue provides clarity and flexibility in maintaining appropriate representation. ·         Not to approve the appointments. This option was not pursued as it would not provide clarity regarding current representation or the basis on which appointments continue.
