Purpose: This report seeks approval to extend the current Short Breaks contracts for children and young people with disabilities in Lambeth until 31 March 2027, to ensure continuity of statutory provision while a recommissioning process is undertaken. There is currently no avenue for further extension as part of existing contract provision and it is proposed to apply Regulation 72 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, which is a compliant means of modifying the contracts, to extend until 31 March 2027.
Content: To approve the extension of the contracts for provision of After School, Weekends and School Holidays Short Breaks Service (Lots 1, 2 and 3) from 30 June 2026 until 31 March 2027 with the following providers, using Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015: Christ Church Oxford United Club t/a Ovalhouse Theatre, at a value of £14,995. Lifelong Family Links, at a value of £268,484. Oasis Children Venture (Stockwell), at a value of £120,094. Whippersnappers, at a value of£199,376. To approve the extension of the contract for the Short Breaks Service, a specialised Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) facility at Bolton Crescent playground, from 30 June 2026 until 31 March 2027 with: a. Oasis Children’s Venture at the total value of using Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
