Content: Health and Wellbeing Public Health Funding £100k 26/27 To agree funding received on behalf of the Breckland Health & Wellbeing Partnership to be distributed in accordance with partnership governance.  Decisions will be made in line with the Breckland Health & Wellbeing Strategy 2025 – 2028.   A Health & Wellbeing Partnership (HWP) is a group of organisations that work together to improve the health and wellbeing of a particular community or population.  These partnerships form part of the statutory makeup of Integrated Care systems and may involve a variety of stakeholders, such as public health agencies, community-based organisations, healthcare providers, schools, businesses and local government.  HWPs can take many forms, and the specific goals and activities of a partnership may vary depending on the needs of the community it serves.   Norfolk and Suffolk 8 x HWPs, which align to district council boundaries, were officially launched in July 2022 as part of the new legislation for the Integrated Care System. The Norfolk-based HWPs aim to address challenges that no single organisation can address alone, they will collectively drive strategies and activities for their place to:   Promote the health & wellbeing of residents. Address the wider determinants of health. Tackle health inequalities Prioritise the prevention agenda. Align, develop and influence NHS and local government services and commissioning.   HWPs have been formed to collectively drive strategies and activities which address root causes of health inequalities at a local level.  Each HWP has developed a Local Strategy & Delivery Plan for their partnership and funding provided by Norfolk County Council, NHS and other statutory partners underpins this Local Strategy and Delivery Plan.   Breckland Council may act as ‘holders’ of funding but cannot distribute it without the approval of membership of Breckland Health & Wellbeing Partnership.  All funding decisions will be documented and where applicable, formal proposals recorded.   So far, identified funding comprises: £100,000 from April 2026 – March 2027 and subsequent years up until March 2028.
