Content: RESOLVED:   That the Cabinet:   1)    Declares the former Conway Hall site known as land between Denbigh Drive and Conway Drive, Hayes, UB3 1QD, as shown edged red on the plan in Appendix A, as surplus to requirements.   2)    Approves the disposal of the freehold interest of the site on the open market on the terms and conditions as outlined in this report.   3)    Delegates all other necessary decisions regarding the disposal and final sale to the Corporate Director of Residents Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing & Property   Reasons for decision   The Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing & Property introduced a report and recommendations, which Cabinet agreed, to dispose of and sell a Council-owned site, formerly called Conway Hall, in Hayes that had been vacant for several years and no suitable community or operational use had been identified by the Council.   Alternative options considered and rejected   Retaining the site was rejected as it remained vacant with no viable use, while housing development was not pursued for the reasons set out in the confidential report.   Relevant Committee Corporate Resources & Infrastructure Expiry date for any scrutiny call-in / date decision can be implemented (if no call-in) Cabinet’s decisions on this matter can be called in by a majority of the Committee by 5pm, Friday 3 July 2026. If not called-in by then, Cabinet’s decisions can then be implemented. Officer(s) to action Tom Prevezer Directorate Residents Services Classification Private - Whilst the Cabinet's decisions above are always made public, the officer report relating to this matter is not because it was considered in the private part of the meeting and contained information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the Authority holding that information) and the public interest in withholding the information outweighed the public interest in disclosing it in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
