Reasons for decision The Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing & Property introduced a report and recommendations, which Cabinet agreed, to award a contract for the ongoing servicing, maintenance and repair of domestic lifts and hoists in Council housing properties following a competitive tender process. Alternative options considered and rejected Doing nothing was rejected as it would have breached statutory inspection requirements, and delivering in-house was not pursued as it would have been more costly than using the existing contractor.
