Purpose:

Content: Consideration was given to the report of the Chief Executive setting out the draft Invest West Kent Interim Local Growth Plan 2026 – 2029 and seeking approval for adoption.   Cabinet noted that the Plan provided a strategic framework for economic growth across West Kent and would support delivery of the Borough Council’s economic and regeneration priorities.   Due regard was given to the financial and value for money considerations, the legal implications and the assessment of risk.   In recognition of supporting economic development and partnership working across the sub-region, Cllr Boughton proposed, Cllr Keers seconded and Cabinet   RESOLVED:  That   (1)            the Invest West Kent Interim Local Growth Plan 2026 – 2029 be approved and adopted; and that   (2)            the authority to approve any minor amendments to the document be delegated to the Economic Development and Special Projects Manager, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing, Environment and Economy.
