Purpose: This report will seek approval to: -       publish the Notice of Intention to Commence the Lambeth Local Plan by 30 June 2026; -       publish the Local Plan timetable by 30 June 2026; -       undertake Local Plan scoping consultation; and -       publish Gateway 1 self-assessment by 31 October 2026.

Content: This report will seek approval to: -       publish the Notice of Intention to Commence the Lambeth Local Plan by 30 June 2026; -       publish the Local Plan timetable by 30 June 2026; -       undertake Local Plan scoping consultation; and -       publish Gateway 1 self-assessment by 31 October 2026. That the Cabinet Member for Planning and Development, Built Environment and Public Realm:   1.             Approves publication of the Notice of Intention to Commence Local Plan preparation, by 30 June 2026, as set out in Appendix 1.  2.             Approves the Local Plan Timetable for publication, set out in Table 1 below. 3.             Agrees to undertake a Scoping Consultation in September 2026, as the first stage of community engagement under the new plan-making process. 4.             Delegates authority to the Assistant Director of Planning Policy and Placeshaping, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and Development, Built Environment and Public Realm, to finalise the content and design of all Scoping Consultation documentation prior to publication.  5.             Delegates authority to the Assistant Director of Planning Policy and Placeshaping, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and Development, Built Environment and Public Realm, to finalise and publish Gateway 1 self-assessment by 31 October 2026.
