Purpose: On 25 June 2026 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed two Community Chest applications deferred from the Grants Advisory Committee on Thursday, 26 March 2026. No Community Chest applications were received between 7 May 2026 and 7 June 2026.   2 applications were brought forward in ‘Appendix A’ of the meeting reports pack.   After consideration of the application, the Committee recommended to the Lead Cabinet Member for Healthy Communities that:   1.     Friends of St John the Evangelist (JGTRSFJJ) be approved and funded at the full amount requested of £935.93   2.     Swavesey Primary School PTA (TQNGJPNQ) be approved and funded at a reduced amount of £1,349.97.

Content: On 25 June 2026 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed two Community Chest applications deferred from the Grants Advisory Committee on Thursday, 26 March 2026. To accept the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee (see above). With regards to the application from Swavesey Primary School PTA, funding is provided, provided an application is made to the Community Pantry Grant for £400 and that, within this and any future grant applications, a list of applications made to other funders is also provided. It is also recommended that measures are put in place to ensure that volunteers continue to look after the garden and distribute produce during school holidays. The applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory Committee and there is sufficient budget available. To reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is required from grant applicants.
