Purpose:

Content: The Mayor called for nominations for the officer of Mayor for the ensuing year.   Councillor Ed Joyce proposed Councillor Muhammad Sadiq, Councillor Sam Martin seconded the nomination.   There being no further nominations, the motion was put to the vote and carried.   RESOLVED: That Councillor Muhammad Sadiq be elected as Mayor of the London Borough of Sutton for the municipal year 2026/27.   The Mayor made the declaration of acceptance of office.   The Mayor returned thanks for his election.   The Mayor appointed Councillor Cryss Mennaceur as his Deputy for his term of office.
