Purpose: This report seeks approval to lease a supported accommodation site in Windsor and Maidenhead to establish a step-down provision for care leavers aged 18 and over. 

Content: This report seeks approval to lease a supported accommodation site in Windsor and Maidenhead to establish a step-down provision for care leavers aged 18 and over.  AGREED: That cabinet noted the report and: i)             Delegated authority to the Executive Director of Children’s Services in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Education and Windsor, to enter into a lease agreement for the property (demised as part Ground floor entrance, storage and external areas, and upper floor residential accommodation) ii)            Authority is further delegated to commence the recruitment and non structural alterations subject to the approval of the landlord required to establish an 18+ step-down provision, including the commissioning of a schedule of condition to be prepared by the tenant’s surveyor at its cost and attached to the lease to limit future repairing exposure.
