Purpose: To improve pupil safety by implementing Mandatory School Keep Clear Markings, highlighting areas that must remain clear Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm on Parkstone Road, Syston; Barrow Road, Burton on the Wolds; and Elmfield Avenue, Birstall.After concerns from Syston Town Council, a Mandatory Disabled Parking Bay with a 3 hour limit (no return within 1 hour) on Melton Road to improve access for disabled users.To improve amenity, the Maximum Stay in the Limited Waiting Bays on Cross Green, Rothley extended from 1 hour to 2 hours, no return within 1 hour, following concerns from local businesses and Rothley Parish Council.An irregularity in the original Traffic Regulation Order for Bath Street, Syston requires a reduction in length of the No Waiting At Any Time restriction.To reduce obstructive parking and improve visibility, new No Waiting At Any Time restrictions at: Sarson Street, at its junction with Loughborough Road, Quorn; Ashfield Drive, at its junction with Groby Road, Anstey; Park Road, at its junction with School House Close, Anstey; Peppers Close, at its junction with Loughborough Road, Mountsorrel; Martin Drive, at its entry/exit to its roundabout junction with Glebe Way, Syston.Following concerns from a Member of Parliament, to improve safety of school children by implementing School Keep Clear restrictions on Elmfield Avenue, Birstall. These to apply Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Also to implement No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on the curvature of bend on where Elmfield Avenue meets Fielding Road, to reduce obstructive parking and ensure safe egress for all road users.
