Content: Councillor Lynne Bowen, Health and Community Engagement Portfolio Holder, Councillor Peter Le Marinel, Planning Policy and Economic Development Portfolio Holder and Sarah Palmer, Director of Transformation and Change submitted a report to present the Heritage and Culture Strategy for approval. Councillors Bowen and Le Marinel introduced the item and praised the work that had gone into developing the strategy. Decision Cabinet agreed: To approve the Heritage and Culture Strategy as set out in Appendix A and the summary version in Appendix B. To authorise the Director of Transformation and Change to make any final amendments, in consultation with the Planning Policy and Economic Development Cabinet Member under their delegated power ‘To consider and make recommendations on the Council’s policy on regeneration and improvement’. And for matters relating to heritage and culture to authorise the Director of Transformation and Change to make any final amendments, in consultation with the Leisure, Health and Community Engagement Cabinet Member under their delegated power ‘To develop and sustain the Council’s strategy for encouraging the growth and diversity of tourism within the Borough.’
