Purpose: Approval is sought to revise the previously approved scheme cost and funding package for the A193 Seafront Active Travel Scheme, and to amend the capital programme accordingly. Content: RESOLVED that Cabinet:- a) approve the revised scheme cost of £13.488 million for the A193 Seafront Active Travel Scheme, replacing the previously approved allocation of £9.688 million; b) approve the revised funding package, comprising: · £11.740 million North East Mayoral Strategic Authority grant funding from CRSTS; and · £1.748 million Council resources; c) approve the amendment to the Medium Term Financial Plan to reflect the revised scheme cost and funding profile as set out in Table 1, in section 5 of this report; d) delegate authority to the Executive Director for Place and Regeneration, in consultation with the Executive Director for Transformation and Resources (S151 Officer), to: · finalise funding arrangements with the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority; and · enter into all necessary contracts within the approved budget allocation; e) note that delivery remains subject to confirmation of external funding and that the Council contribution is profiled towards the latter stages of the scheme; and f) note that the Council contribution of £1.748 million is not new budget provision and comprises: · £1.453 million previously approved by Cabinet on 8 July 2025 and County Council on 18 February 2026; and · £0.295 million from existing Local Transport Plan commitments.
