Purpose: Supplementary Procurement Plan for ECS, identifying proposals for a project to refurbish Insch School Nursery utilising Scottish Government grant funding.
Content: A report by the Director of Education and Children’s Services was circulated seeking approval of the Education and Children’s Services Supplementary Procurement Plan for 2026/2027 in relation to the Garioch Area. The procurement plan seeks approval to progress a construction project at Insch School Nursery. The proposed works will make a range of upgrades and changes to the current facilities of the Nursery to improve the condition and suitability of the space to support continued delivery of 1140 hours. The Early Years Estate Manager gave an overview of the proposals and responded to a number of questions for clarification. The Committee agreed:- 1. to note the Directorate Supplementary Procurement Plan as detailed in Appendix 1; 2. to approve the item on the Supplementary Procurement Plan marked “in principle” as outlined in the table within Appendix 1, subject to the requirement that no contract award may take place until confirmation of budget approval has been obtained by Full Council on 26th June 2026.; and 3 not to reserve approval of the Procurement Approval Form for the item on the Procurement Plan as the value of the matter is between £50,000 and £1,000,000.
