Content: Trafford must have an up-to-date Local Plan and therefore the Reg. 19 Plan has been produced to further this process. That the Executive: (i)              Approves the Trafford Local Plan (Publication Version) 2026, including allocations, designations, and reference to the potential use of compulsory purchase powers to assist with site assembly, Policies Map, Integrated Assessment, Habitat Regulations Assessment and the supporting background documents, for publication pursuant to Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 for a six-week period for representations to begin no earlier than 03 August 2026 in accordance with the Council’s  latest Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). (ii)             Delegates authority to the Corporate Director of Place, in consultation with the Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, to make any necessary minor amendments to the Trafford Local Plan (Publication Version) 2026, Policies Map, Integrated Assessment, Habitat Regulations Assessment and its supporting documents prior to commencement of the public consultation.  (iii)           Delegates authority to the Corporate Director of Place, in consultation with the Director of Legal & Governance and Monitoring Officer, to prepare and agree Statements of Common Ground for the Trafford Local Plan (Submission Version) 2026 as required.  (iv)           Delegates authority to the Corporate Director of Place, in consultation with the Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration and the Director of Legal & Governance and Monitoring Officer, to agree proposed main modifications to the Trafford Local Plan (Submission Version) 2026 as may be necessary to meet the tests of ‘soundness’ defined in the National Planning Policy Framework (2024) (or any equivalent following the amendment or revocation thereof) and the relevant statutory requirements of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (or any equivalent Regulations following the amendment, re-enactment or revocation thereof). (v)             Delegates authority to the Corporate Director of Place to make any minor modifications to the Trafford Local Plan (Submission Version) 2026, as may be necessary; and (vi)           Delegates to the Corporate Director of Place, in consultation with the Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration to approve that the Trafford Local Plan (Submission Version) 2026 modifications (Main, Additional and those relating to the Policies Map), and associated supporting background document be subject to a period of representations for not less than six weeks following the close of the hearings and receipt of the Inspectors ‘post hearing letter’.
