Purpose: Updated Highway Asset Management Strategy

Content: 1.     That the Cabinet Member for City Transport, in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer be authorised to approve the publication of the Highway Asset Management Strategy.   2.     That the Cabinet Member for City Transport, in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer be authorised to approve Highway Asset Management Plans and associated documents supporting the delivery of the Highway Asset Management Strategy.   3.     That authority be delegated to the Head of Network Management, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for City Transport and the Chief Operating Officer, to make minor operational, technical, administrative and legislative updates to the Strategy which do not materially alter Council policy.   4.     That the Chief Operating Officer be authorised to enter into any necessary agreements to give effect to the above recommendations.   5.     That it be noted, this Highways Asset Management Strategy is complementary and aligns with the work of the Investing to Improve Our City’s Roads in 2026-2027 Programme.
