Purpose:
Content: RESOLVED that 1. the harmonisation of local Council Tax Support Schemes across East Surrey from 1 April 2027 be agreed, in principle; 2. the undertaking of comprehensive modelling of options to inform the final proposals, utilising external expertise be agreed, and for modelling purposes, the central case, as set in paragraph 12 of the report, be used as the benchmark for scheme modelling to compare the cost of different schemes; 3. having considered the recommendation from the Overview & Scrutiny Committee following its review of the item at its meeting on 8 July 2026, officers be asked to provide a full assessment of the impact of the preferred option on vulnerable households as part of the development of the harmonised Council Tax Support scheme; and 4. authority be delegated to the Section 151 Officer to complete all procurement activities and enter relevant contracts in relation to the work set out in 2. above.
