Purpose:
Content: RESOLVED: That Cabinet: 1) Approve a six-year contract award of integrated sexual health services between 1 April 2030 – 31 March 2036 to a total value of up to £23,772,345 to be funded solely from the Public Health Grant allocation. 2) Note the Service is fully funded through the ring-fenced Public Health Grant and therefore has no impact on the Council’s core budget. 3) Support the relocation of the Integrated Sexual Health Service to the Civic Centre, enabling the co-location of local public services with partner organisations to deliver a more integrated and accessible offer for residents, while enhancing service delivery, improving access, and generating lease income for the Council, and delegate authority for all necessary property arrangements and decisions to give effect to this to the Corporate Director of Residents Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing & Property. Reasons for decision The Cabinet Member for Adults, Children, Health & Care introduced a report and recommendations, which Cabinet agreed, for the continued provision of Hillingdon’s Integrated Sexual Health Service enabling the viability of the relocation of the service to the Civic Centre site to provide more joined-up public services. Alternative options considered and rejected Cabinet rejected alternative options, including ceasing the service, as the Council has a statutory duty to provide public health services. Relevant Committee Children, Families, Health & Care Expiry date for any scrutiny call-in / date decision can be implemented (if no call-in) Cabinet’s decisions on this matter can be called in by a majority of the Committee by 5pm, Friday 31 July 2026. If not called-in by then, Cabinet’s decisions can then be implemented.
