Purpose: Approval of backpay following employee regrading
Content: Pay Reparation To approve backpay to employee 017208 following re-grading of post reference LM35 Following a recent regrading exercise for some colleagues in Neighbourhood Services, a further employee (017208) came forward and requested that post LM35 should be re-evaluated in order to ensure equality in pay. This request was granted and following a job evaluation process, the post has been lifted from Grade 2 to Grade 3, this will be reflected via an amendment to the Establishment. In line with previous regarding processes and as agreed by Corporate Leadership Team, the employee will receive backpay to 17th December 2025, the date when CLT approved the regrading process. Details of the payment can be found at Exempt Appendix 1. The appendix is exempt under paragraph 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 as it contains information relating to an individual. It is not in the public interest to release the information as it relates to the individual circumstances of an employee The alternative option is to not approve the backpay; this would be out of line with payments made to other employees and could result in a grievance being raised.
