That the award of the Leisure Centres Decarbonisation works contract for Castle Leisure Centre to Alternative Heat Ltd. in the sum of £2,911,268.86 (excluding VAT) be approved. This sum includes the full decarbonisation of Castle Leisure Centre through the removal of the existing gas-fired heating system and the provision of low-carbon energy systems. 2. That the associated variation to the scope of works from that noted at Gateway 1, to cover more phases of the project in order to derisk the programme (a variation that occurred based on additional professional advice which the Gateway 1 agreed to seek, and before the tender process took place), be noted and approved.
