Purpose: Replacing the broken theatre projector
Content: To purchase the 4k theatre projector and equipment from the Supplier detailed in Appendix A The current projector is broken. Replacing this equipment is a priority for continuing business for the theatre. Three written quotations were requested using the Council’s RFQ form. Due to the specialist nature of the equipment, it was not possible to approach local SMEs. * One compliant quote was received, and this was evaluated on price and quality. The supplier chosen gave a full response. Their selection represents best value. The value of the contract and the successful bidder’s name is included in an exempt appendix to this decision. The appendix is exempt from publication under paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 as it contains commercially sensitive information. It is not in the public interest to release the information as to do so could jeopardise the procurement process. Lower resolution projector or not to replace the projector – would have made theatre less competitive.
