Purpose: The Tameside Bus Vision will present: • A clear, evidence-led Bus Vision for Tameside aligned to GM 2050, Right Mix and Bee Network ambitions • A robust baseline evidence pack (GIS mapping, demand analysis, accessibility gaps, reliability issues) • A validated set of problems and opportunities grounded in data + councillor/stakeholder insight • A prioritised programme of interventions (quick wins, medium-term schemes, and £5m+ major projects) • A deliverable investment and delivery roadmap linked to TfGM’s Network Development pipeline • A quantified case for change supporting funding bids and Green Book–compliant business cases • A multi-criteria assessment framework to transparently prioritise schemes and future decisions • A pipeline of schemes ready for funding and delivery including costs, phasing, and strategic fit • High-quality visual outputs (one-page scheme summaries, stakeholder-ready materials) • A co-produced strategy with TfGM and stakeholders ensuring buy-in and positioning Tameside as a pilot borough The contract will run from 1 April 2026 to 30 September 2026 at a value of £80,500 (excluding VAT). This commission is funded via CRSTS revenue monies from Transport for Greater Manchester to support network development.
