Purpose:
Content: The Area Committee approved the proposed works to adjust several access controls that were currently in place within the wards that included the TransPennine Trail (as per the report). The works were subject to funding from the capital programme for the removal of access controls/potentially other funding sources if made available for the works to be carried out. To continue operating with the current access controls; however, several existing access controls along the route did not meet current council standards and could restrict access for legitimate users, including those using wheelchairs, mobility scooters and adapted cycles.
