Purpose: To seek approval for the implementation of the Highways Asset Improvement programme for 2025-26. To allocate investment from the approved CIP ‘theme’ budget for the Highways Improvement Programme (HIP) to the relevant project budgets for carriageway and footway renewal and highways asset improvements. The decision will also include the DfT grant contribution in year , a list of sites will be presented following confirmation of the funding and its appropriate uses.

Content: To have regard to the Equalities Impact Assessment prepared for the purposes of this report (Appendix A).   To approve the carriageway resurfacing programme as set out in Table 2.1 which is expected to commence in October 2026 and complete by March 2027.   To allocate £585k from the Department for Transport (DfT) Highways maintenance block: formula allocations 2025 to 2026 to deliver the programme.
