Content: To award the contract to appoint a contractor to undertake decarbonisation capital works to Surrey Docks Water Sports Centre That: 1. The award of the Leisure Centres Decarbonisation works contract for Surrey Docks Fitness and Watersports Centre to Baystar Ltd in the sum of up to £908,717 (excluding VAT) including the full decarbonisation of Surrey Docks Fitness & Watersports Centre through the removal of the existing gas-fired heating system and the provision of low-carbon energy systems be approved by the Strategic Director of Environment, Sustainability and Leisure. 2. The associated variation to the scope of works from that noted at Gateway 1, to cover more phases of the project in order to derisk the programme (a variation that occurred based on additional professional advice which the Gateway 1 agreed to seek, and before the tender process took place), be noted and approved by the Strategic Director of Environment, Sustainability and Leisure. 3. The Marine Management Organisation application is in hand and steps being taken as noted in paragraph 27 to ensure that the timelines for completion of the works can be met be noted by the Strategic Director of Environment, Sustainability and Leisure.
