Purpose: Decision to support the delivery of Round 4 of the Local Authority Housing Fund programme which will deliver 2 homes for Afghan families in partnership with Aequus Developments Ltd. The properties will be purchased on the open market via LAHF grant passported via the Council together with additional borrowing from the existing ADL Loan Agreement.
Content: The Cabinet Member approves the reserved matters below to allow ADL to progress with supporting the Council to deliver this programme: • Reserved Matter 22 – approval of total asset acquisitions that will exceed £500,000 but less than £5m per annum • Reserved Matter 28 – Making any borrowing The overall scheme will secure an additional 6 properties. This decision relates to 2 of these properties, which will provide accommodation for those who are being resettled under the Afghan Citizen Resettlement Scheme. Do nothing. However, the demand for suitable accommodation will remain yet the Council would be unable to access MHCLG funding. None
