Purpose: We have adapted an already existing Probation Procedure guidance for managers document into a policy.  The reason for doing so is the change to legislation coming into effect in January 2027, which will meant that anyone appointed week commencing  01.07.26 will be able to claim unfair dismissal after only 6 months service (currently 2 years).
