Purpose: To approve an updated Biodiversity Strategy Action Plan
Content: To approve an updated Biodiversity Strategy Action Plan That the updated Biodiversity Strategy Action Plan be approved and published.. The Action Plan should be updated from time to time to ensure the Strategy remains up to date and objectives are achievable. ‘Do nothing’ – the approach of not updating the action plan will mean it will risk becoming out of date and in some areas irrelevant. Because the Strategy and action plan are public facing, this could undermine confidence in the council’s ability to deliver under its Biodiversity Duty. Not updating the action plan will hamper the adaptability and efficient monitoring and delivery of the council’s work under the Strategy. This option is therefore rejected. None
