Purpose: Annual treasury management review of activities and the actual prudential and treasury indicators for 2025/26

Content: The Council is required by regulations issued under the Local Government Act 2003 to produce an annual treasury management review of activities and the actual prudential and treasury indicators for 2025/26. This report meets the requirements of both the CIPFA Code of Practice on Treasury Management (the Code), and the CIPFA Prudential Code for Capital Finance in Local Authorities (the Prudential Code).   Members welcomed this report and acknowledged the Council's robust financial position.   Cllr Rigby MOVED, and Cllr Sankey SECONDED the recommendation in the report.   A vote was taken by a show of hands and Members RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:   R1.     That the Audit, Governance and Standards Committee reviews and agrees the Treasury Annual Report 2025/26 and recommends it to Council for approval on 23 September 2026.
