Purpose: The report seeks approval to extend the Council’s Actuarial, Benefits and Governance Consultancy contract with Hymans Robertson to 31 March 2027. The contract expired 31 May 2024 and requires formal regularisation. 

Content: The report seeks approval to extend the Council’s Actuarial, Benefits and Governance Consultancy contract with Hymans Robertson to 31 March 2027. The contract expired 31 May 2024 and requires formal regularisation.  To approve the extension of the contract with Hymans Robertson LLP for the provision of Actuarial, Benefits and Governance Consultancy Services from 31/05/24 (retrospective regularisation) to 31 March 2027. To note the spend from contract expiry at 31 May 2024 to 31 May 2026 of £147,808. To approve the maximum spend of £60,000 for the period 1 June 2026 to 31 March 2027. To note that the extension is an interim arrangement to enable a compliant procurement via the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) National Framework, with a new contract to commence 1 April 2027.
