Purpose: Decision to award contract and enter into contract for annual servicing and repairs. Estimated value £8m Term three years plus one plus one

Content: Decision:   To approve the award of the Domestic Gas Servicing & Repairs Contract to TSG Building Services PLC for a period of five years at a total contract value of £5,991,263.   Reason(s):   1.       The Council has a statutory responsibility to ensure domestic gas installations within its housing stock are safely serviced, inspected and maintained. 2.       A compliant competitive procurement process has identified TSG Building Services PLC as the Most Advantageous Tenderer, providing the strongest combination of quality, price and social value. 3.       Awarding the contract will secure continuity of service, provide value for money, achieve savings against the approved budget and support the delivery of wider social value commitments.   Other options considered and rejected by the Executive:   Option 1 – Do nothing. This option is not recommended. The Council could decide not to award the contract and consider alternative arrangements for delivering domestic gas servicing and repair services. This option is not recommended as it would create a risk to statutory compliance, resident safety and continuity of service. It could also result in additional costs associated with interim arrangements, further procurement activity and the loss of the value for money and social value benefits identified through the completed procurement process.   Details of any conflict of interest declared by the Leader or lead councillors and any dispensation granted:   None.
