Purpose: Launched as part of the Get Britain Working white paper, the Youth Guarantee aims to support 18-21-year-olds to access apprenticeships, training and employment support. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are one of eight regions selected to pilot the initiative. The pilot is being led by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) and Peterborough City Council has been awarded a grant through this to extend the current offer for 16-18 year olds to include young people through to the age of 21. This report seeks execution of the grant funding agreement as a deed. The grant funding will enable additional resources to be provided to undertake the extension of the offer.
