Purpose: Decision to agree school term and holiday dates for Leicester City maintained schools for 2027 to 2032.  

Content: Decision to agree school term and holiday dates for Leicester City maintained schools for 2027 to 2032.   To approve Option 2 outlined in the report as the agreed model for determining school holiday and term dates for 2027/28 to 2031/32. Based on consultation feedback we have listened to parents and stakeholders and agreed that the updated model 2 provides the best balance based on responses and feedback. The start of the academic year after the August Bank Holiday, like County consultation start dates. Agreed to a 1 week Autumn half term holiday moved to the 3rd week of the month. Maintained the summer end of term within the 2nd week of July. Want to give schools and parents confirmation of term dates as early as possible. 1.         Option 1 – Approve 2 week Autumn Term Model. 2.         Option 2 – Approve 1 week Autumn Term Model. 3.         Option 3 – Defer the decision
