Purpose:

Content: Councillor Lethaby redeclared his Disclosable Pecuniary Interest, and left the meeting for the duration of the consideration of this item.   The Committee considered a report by the Planning Officer (circulated previously).   The Planning Officer advised the Committee that the Officer’s recommendations for approval were set out within the report. The application had been presented to the Committee for decision as the applicant was a member of the Planning Committee.   In response to questions by the Committee, the Planning Officer advised the following:   Astro-turf was already in use at the property, which is why it was not included in the proposal. Cladding was due to be replaced at the time of the site visit. Any changes to the finish of the main dwelling may require a separate application. The slate roof of the proposed conservatory accords with the objectives of Policy DM08A to reduce light spill in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and nearby Exmoor National Park.   The Chair noted that the roof specification was covered within condition 3.   RESOLVED (Unanimous) that the application be APPROVED as recommended by the Planning Officer.
