Content: To award a contract for a period of 15 months via Direct award to Vodafone for Lookout Advanced   Total Contract Costs = £28,141.20   Funds covered by the forecasted budget Lookout is our current mobile device security software; the decision to renew it is to ensure our mobile device estate ( mobile phones, tablets and chrome books)  remains uptodate, resilient and protected against modern day cyber risks.   The contract length is set to align with our vodafone mobile voice and data service to allow us flexibility to plan for future requirements in line with LGR plans.   Software information:   Mobile Device Security: Lookout for Work helps protect company data and devices from various security threats. This includes safeguarding against malware, phishing attacks, and other mobile-specific threats. By securing mobile devices, businesses can reduce the risk of data breaches and cyberattacks.   Data Protection: Adur and Worthing councils deal with sensitive and confidential data. Lookout for Work helps ensure that this data is protected, even when employees access it on their mobile devices.    Compliance: Requirements regarding the protection of customer data. Mobile security solutions can help businesses meet these compliance standards, avoiding costly fines and legal issues.   Productivity: Lookout for Work can enhance productivity by allowing employees to use their smartphones for work-related tasks without the fear of compromising security. This includes accessing email, documents, and other work-related applications.   Lost or Stolen Device Recovery: In the event that an employee's mobile device is lost or stolen, Lookout for Work can help track and recover the device or remotely wipe sensitive data to prevent unauthorised access.   Mobile Device Management (MDM): Using a mobile device management solution with security apps like Lookout for Work will allow us to manage and control mobile devices, including configuring security settings, pushing updates, and ensuring compliance with company policies.   Remote Work: With the rise of remote work, employees are increasingly using their mobile devices to access company resources. They can also protect against threats that may arise from unsecured Wi-Fi networks or public hotspots.   Alternative providers would not be a financially viable option particularly given the impending LGR.
