Purpose: To seek authority to enter into contract for the award of maintenance services relating to SKDC street lighting.

Content: Decision   That Cabinet:   Approve the contract with E.on Energy Solutions Ltd for the award of cyclical maintenance services relating to SKDC street lighting for a combined value of £200,000 for a 3 year period.   Reasons for the decision   The reasons for the recommendation were set out in the body of the report.   Other options considered   Taking no immediate action was considered, however the Council has a statutory obligation to maintain its street lighting to avoid risks to property and its residents. Failing to progress the cyclical maintenance of the streetlighting could expose the Council to unnecessary risk.
