Purpose: In support of our Creative Central NCL programme, we wish to support local arts based charity Boho Arts Ltd create a new inclusive arts venue in the city centre that will bring diverse artists, communities and individuals of all ages together under one roof to connect, collaborate and be creative; bringing wide public benefit. We have already committed £250,000 towards the grant (link to delegated decision here) alongside a £957,598 grant award from the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority. A further £200,000 is required to bridge the remaining funding gap.

A further £200,000 is required to bridge the remaining funding gap. Authorise the Assistant Director Legal Services to vary the existing Grant Funding Agreement with Boho Arts (dated 12th of November, 2025) to increase the grant value from £250,000 to £450,000.
