Purpose: To present the Local Plan (Proposed Submission Version) to Council and seek approval that it can be published for public representation under Regulation 19 for a period of 6 weeks.

Content: To present the Local Plan (Proposed Submission Version) to Council and seek approval that it can be published for public representation under Regulation 19 for a period of 6 weeks. (Key Decision):   Cabinet is asked to Recommend to Full Council that it:   1)    Agrees the Proposed Submission Local Plan (Regulation 19) (Report Appendix 1), and the Proposed Submission Policies Map (Report Appendix 2) for public consultation.   2)    Notes that supporting documents to be published alongside the Proposed Submission Local Plan Appendix 1 (Local Plan consultation document) and Report Appendix 2 (Policies Map) for the consultation include:   a.    Statement of Consultation (Regulation 18) (including summaries of representations received) b.    Sustainability Appraisal (including the Sustainable Environmental Assessment) c.     Habitats Regulations Assessment d.    Infrastructure Delivery Plan e.    Thematic Topic Papers f.      Equality and Fairness Appraisal g.    Suite of other Evidence Studies as identified in paragraph 2.45 in this report.   3)    Agrees that any subsequent material amendments to be made to the Local Plan (Report Appendices 1 and 2) prior to consultation will be approved by the Cabinet Member for Regulatory Services, Staff and Performance, Enterprise.   4)    Agrees to delegate authority to the Chief Executive (and the Head of Planning Policy), in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Regulatory Services, Staff and Performance, Enterprise, to make any necessary editorial changes and/or minor amendments that do not materially affect the content (where necessary) prior to publication for consultation.   5)    Notes that public consultation, if approved, will be for a period of six weeks, as stated in the Statement of Community Involvement.
