Content: To explain the necessity for and seek approval of the grant funding given the required timescales to confirm acceptance in accordance with the offer. The Leader of the Council is recommended to (i) Authorise the acceptance of grant funding award; and (ii) Authorise the Section 151 Officer of the Council to enter into a Grant Funding Agreement to facilitate the acceptance of this grant award. The conditions of the grant funding award require the Council to enter in a Grant Funding Agreement by 24th September 2024. Accordingly, if the Council's normal decision making process were complied with, there would be serious prejudicing to the Council's and public's interests. The alternative option would be to decline the funding offer.
