Purpose:
Content: RESOLVED i) The Concessions Policy as set out in the appendix to this report be adopted; ii) That authority is delegated to make minor changes to the Policy to the relevant Director in consultation with the lead Cabinet Member; iii) That authority is delegated to grant concession licences at Horsham Museum, in parks and in open spaces in line with the Policy to the Head of Leisure and Culture in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Green Spaces and the relevant Ward Member(s); iv) That authority is delegated to grant concession licences in car parks in line with the Policy to the Director of Resources in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources and the relevant Ward Member(s); and v) To note that the Monitoring Officer will reflect recommendations iii) and iv) in the Council’s Constitution (pursuant to her authority to do so, per Article 13, paragraph 13.3 b) of the Constitution) should these be approved. REASON To ensure that the policy is fit for purpose ahead of 2025, and that the Policy can continue to be refined in light of experience and feedback. ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS CONSIDERED BUT REJECTED AS IDENTIFIED IN THE REPORT The alternative course of action would be to continue to not update the policy, which would lead to a less efficient approach being implemented.
