Purpose: This report asks for approval to accept £55,000 from Lancashire County Council (LCC) to enable the Council to work collaboratively with their Adult Social Care (ASC) commissioners on a transformation initiative. This will look to divert people from being inappropriately signposted to their services when other preventative measures delivered in the community would facilitate better outcomes.

Content: The Executive Member for Resources;   i)               approved a funded budget increase of £55,000 into the Council’s budget from LCC ii)              agreed that the Assistance Director (Head of Advice and Community Services) will continue to work collaboratively with LCC ASC to further develop the Council’s initiatives. iii)            noted that the Council will enter into a Collaboration Agreement with LCC. iv)            delegated authority to the Deputy Chief Executive /Director of Communities and Wellbeing in conjunction with the Executive Member for Health and Wellbeing to make any consequential amendments to the project as it develops.  v)             delegated authority to the Deputy Chief Executive/ Director of Communities and Wellbeing to enter into Grant Funding Agreements with the specified delivery partners.
