Purpose: The purpose of the report is to seek approval in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a), to modify the contract with Progress Housing Association Limited for a Falls Response Service as provided for within the contract at “Part 1: Contract Particulars” by extending it from 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025.   The reasons for the decision are, as required by Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1 (a): The modification is provided for within the existing contract within the Extension Term option and Maximum Expiration Date in Part 1: Contract Information of the Contract Particulars.

Content: The purpose of the report is to seek approval in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a), to modify the contract with Progress Housing Association Limited for a Falls Response Service as provided for within the contract at “Part 1: Contract Particulars” by extending it from 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025.   The reasons for the decision are, as required by Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1 (a): The modification is provided for within the existing contract within the Extension Term option and Maximum Expiration Date in Part 1: Contract Information of the Contract Particulars. (i)       That, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 9.3.1(a), the contract with Progress Housing Association Limited for a Falls Response Service be modified by extending its term from 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025 as provided for within the contract at “Part 1: Contract Particulars”; and   (ii)       That the Procurement Team be authorised to issue the relevant contract modification documentation. Do Nothing: This option was considered and rejected because the existing falls response service has proved to be effective in supporting Knowsley residents who have suffered falls within their home to avoid unnecessary hospital admission.   Seek Competition (Quotation / Tender): This option was considered and rejected because the current provider is performing well and there is provision within the existing terms and conditions of contract to extend the current arrangement to 31 March 2025.
