Purpose: Report seeks approval for a procurement strategy. The council’s terrorism insurance provider Charles Taylor Consulting has advised that they will not be providing cover for the final two years of our agreement from 31 March 2025 therefore there is an urgent need to retender for the Council and on behalf of the 7 participating councils who are members of the ILC (London Insurance Consortium), to cover these two remaining years.

The council’s terrorism insurance provider Charles Taylor Consulting has advised that they will not be providing cover for the final two years of our agreement from 31 March 2025 therefore there is an urgent need to retender for the Council and on behalf of the 7 participating councils who are members of the ILC (London Insurance Consortium), to cover these two remaining years. RESOLVED to; 1. approve a re-procurement strategy for terrorism insurance for Croydon Council who are running a tender on behalf of the London Insurance Consortium. This will result in a two-year contract with a value of approximately £80,000 for the Council and an aggregate value of approximately £1.1M across all the contracts to be entered into by the 7 participating boroughs. 2. note that Sutton and Kingston have opted not to take part in this exercise as they will shortly be exiting the consortium arrangements.
